REES attaches great importance to the protection of your personal data and wants to treat it with due respect. This privacy statement is therefore aimed at informing the persons whose personal data are processed by REES.

This statement describes the way in which your personal data is collected and processed on this website and during the execution of the assignments by REES in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (effective on 25/05/2018).

1. Definitions

  • Data subject = the client / customer or any other individuals who fill in the contact form on the website or who surf the website www.rees.be.
  • Data controller = REES.
  • Data processor = all companies that REES is working with and that can come into contact with the personal data of the data subject.

2. Processing of personal data

A contact form can be filled in on the website. Following data that we collect through this channel are being processed by us:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Company name
  • Address information
  • E-mail address
  • Phone number
  • Location information
  • IP-address

If you conclude an agreement with us, REES can gain knowledge of the personal data of the client’s customers, his staff, suppliers and appointees (non-exhaustive list).

In the context of looking after the assignments that are allocated to REES by the clients, it is not excluded that REES obtains knowledge of sensitive personal data that can be processed by REES:

  • data concerning persons less than 16 years old
  • personal data evidencing racial or ethnic origin, political views, religious or philosophical beliefs, or union membership, and processing of genetic data, biometric data for the unique identification of a person, or health data, or data relating to a person's sexual behaviour or sexual orientation.

3. Legal basis

The following grounds are used to process your personal data:

  • Consent
  • Execution of an agreement
  • Legitimate interests
  • Vital interests
  • Processing with a view to archiving in the public interest, scientific or historical research or statistical purposes

In the event that you complete the contact form, by checking the box provided at the bottom of the contact form you give REES explicit permission to process your personal data. If you email REES, you also consent to process the data.

If you entrust assignments to REES, you agree that REES can obtain knowledge of all personal data with which it comes into contact during the execution of its assignments. This consent must be given explicitly. If you do not give REES this consent, it will be able to access the personal data on the basis of the execution of the agreement or its legitimate interest.

For the processing of sensitive data in the context of the execution of its services, REES requires your explicit consent or you guarantee as a client that you have the consent of the data subject, and that he can communicate this consent on paper or on another carrier to the client.

Our website does not intend to collect sensitive data about website visitors under the age of 16 unless they have the consent of their parents or guardians. However, we cannot check whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore advise parents to be involved in the online activities of their children, in order to prevent data about children being collected without parental consent.

The data subject can also withdraw his consent at any time by sending an e-mail to tinne.broeckx@rees.be.

4. Purposes

REES processes the data for which you have given consent to perform its activities:

  • Manage its activities, manage and improve its website or to generate statistical analyses regarding its services;
  • Inform the customer about is activities and offers.

5. Transfer to third parties

The personal data originating from the client are only passed on to data processors for the purpose of carrying out the purposes as listed in point 4. Your data will not be passed on to third parties for commercial purposes.

The protection and confidentiality of your personal data is of particular importance for REES. If REES engages processors who would also come into contact with your personal data, it will ensure that these processors do not use the personal data for purposes other than those listed under point 4. REES will make agreements with these parties about how they should process the personal data and what level of protection they must use. 6. Storage

REES stores your data for an unlimited duration if it concerns personal data it acquires via the website www.rees.be or via e-mail, and for the duration of the agreement if it concerns the personal data it processes in the context of its assignments.

REES strives to inform you in the best possible way about its services.

REES will offer the largest guarantee to enforce your rights as described in point 8. The data subject will be asked at regular intervals to confirm the correctness of the data.

7. Level of protection

REES guarantees an appropriate level of protection at the organizational and technical level. We do this by appropriately securing your data and also demanding this level of security from our processors. Security is at least done with the use of a password to protect sensitive data.

8. Rights of the data subject

The purpose of this privacy statement is to inform you adequately about your rights.

You always have the right to object to the processing of your data. If you want to view, correct, transfer your data or restrict its processing, then that is of course also possible. Your data may be erased under certain conditions. Your request for this must be directed to tinne.broeckx@rees.be.

To ensure that the request for inspection has been made by you, we ask that you send a copy of your identification (passport or identity card) with the request. Please cover the photograph, the MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), the passport or ID card number and the identification number of the national register. This is to protect your privacy.

9. Cookies

The data subject can submit a complaint to us, in that case as the data controller, by sending an e-mail to tinne.broeckx@rees.be.
In addition, the data subject also has the right to file a complaint with the data protection authority (DPA).

11. Changes to this privacy statement

This privacy statement is regularly updated to ensure that your data is processed correctly at all times. You will not be informed of this beforehand. At the top of this statement you will find the date of the last update.
